In Roanoke, Virginia, Autumn’s story has become a call for awareness. The 10-year-old who once stood up for others is now prompting parents, schools, and experts to confront mental health more seriously. Her parents revisit the small signs they wish they had understood sooner.
By sharing their pain, they hope to protect other families. They remember a kind, vibrant child and urge others to listen closely, notice changes, and never assume a child is too young to struggle. Autumn couldn’t be saved, but her story may help save someone else.
