Trump Allies Discuss Resolution To Void President’s Two Impeachments

In the shadows of another bitter election season, Trump’s circle is testing the limits of what Congress can do — and what history will allow. A resolution to expunge both impeachments would be almost entirely symbolic, yet politically explosive: a formal attempt to rewrite the official story of his presidency. For his supporters, it is payback and vindication; for his critics, it is proof that loyalty now outweighs law. Constitutional scholars warn that impeachment is a completed act, etched into the record and beyond the reach of a later vote. Still, the effort underscores how fiercely both sides are fighting over the meaning of Trump’s legacy. Even if the resolution fails, the debate itself will drag the country back through the scandals, the trials, and the chaos — reminding Americans that the battle over his presidency did not end when he left office.
