Donald Trump shared a video of Frank Sinatra performing My Way, but gave no explanation—prompting speculation about its meaning.
The post quickly stirred debate online, with some reading it as symbolic or “cryptic,” while others focused on the song’s message of doing things on one’s own terms.
Nancy Sinatra reacted angrily, criticizing the use of her father’s performance.
The song itself, written by Paul Anka as an English version of Comme d’habitude, was originally intended for Sinatra’s retirement—but its success kept him performing for years.
