Man Stretches His Arm — Doctors Say This Is What Actually Happened

A man’s arm suddenly developed a shocking bulge after a sharp pain, leaving many online convinced it was a rare disease. Doctors explain it was actually a biceps tendon rupture, often called a “Popeye deformity,” caused when the tendon tears and the muscle bunches up. Another viral image of deeply wrinkled fingers had a much simpler explanation too—it was just a normal response to prolonged time in water. Experts say these dramatic-looking conditions are more common than many people realize, but sudden pain or visible changes should always be checked by a medical professional.
