A routine weekend turned unusual for one homeowner after landscapers uncovered a concealed underground structure beneath his property. The discovery followed reports from the family’s child of a persistent humming sound coming from above his bedroom ceiling.
As soil was cleared, workers exposed what appeared to be a deliberately sealed entrance connected to an older mechanical space. Specialists were called in to examine the structure, which experts say could be an outdated utility chamber, storm shelter, or abandoned infrastructure common in older homes.
Authorities emphasize that such findings should be handled by professionals, noting that hidden spaces can pose structural or safety risks. The investigation continues as engineers work to determine the structure’s origin and condition.
