Classic TV fans still celebrate The Rifleman, the iconic Western that aired from 1958 to 1963, but even this beloved series wasn’t free of bloopers. Starring Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain and Johnny Crawford as his son Mark, the show occasionally mixed eras—featuring modern Wrangler jeans and 1950s hairstyles in an 1880s setting. Fans have also spotted fun behind-the-scenes moments, including brief appearances by Connors’ real-life son Jeff and Johnny Crawford’s brother Bobby. These small slip-ups and surprises have only added to the show’s lasting charm and cult following.
