A newly surfaced video has intensified controversy over the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The footage appears to show Good’s SUV clipping an officer before the agent fired, after which her vehicle crashed about 100 feet away.
Federal officials defended the agent, with DHS’s Tricia McLaughlin claiming Good had “weaponized” her vehicle. However, the video has fueled debate online, with many viewers arguing she appeared to be fleeing rather than attacking. The shooting has drawn sharp criticism from public figures and local leaders, while Good’s family remembers her as a compassionate mother of three.
