Jami Gertz grew up in a close-knit Jewish family in Illinois before rising to fame in Square Pegs, The Lost Boys, and Less than Zero. Despite success, her upbringing kept her grounded, with her family ensuring Hollywood never changed who she was.
Her life took a quiet turn when she met financier Tony Ressler—she was the bigger earner at the time and built their early life together out of love. Today, they share a multibillion-dollar empire and a strong commitment to philanthropy, with Gertz known as much for giving back as for her time on screen.
