Bad Bunny has been making headlines after reports said he was chosen to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, and attention has now shifted to the meaning behind his outfit. During the performance, he wore a cream jersey-style ensemble featuring the name “Ocasio” and the number 1964 — a tribute to his late uncle. The singer later explained that 1964 was his uncle’s birth year and that watching NFL games with him as a child shaped his early memories of football. He shared that he had always hoped to attend a Super Bowl with his uncle before his unexpected passing two years ago, so he honored him by dedicating the show and wearing his name and birth year. Fans online have since praised the gesture as a deeply personal tribute.
