Authorities in southern Arizona say investigators recovered a backpack today in a remote area near Rio Rico that matches the previously identified Ozark Trail hiker model linked to the Nancy Guthrie case. The find came soon after officials acknowledged reviewing surveillance video of a masked individual, calling the recovery a rapid development connected to the investigation. According to sources, deputies responded when a passerby reported a dark pack hidden near roadside brush, secured the scene, and examined it under controlled conditions, where they reportedly found a mobile phone and a handwritten note inside.
