Marco Rubio’s new role places him within a system where major policy decisions often happen out of public view. Regulations can spend years in development, only to be delayed, reshaped, or weakened during a quiet review process framed as coordination.
Critics see this as hidden policymaking, while supporters view it as necessary oversight. Either way, the position carries significant influence—often exercised without much visibility into how decisions are made.
