By sunrise over a Chilton pasture, the life of young rodeo star Ace Patton Ashford was tragically cut short. Fresh out of high school and already a champion, he was doing what he loved when a spooked horse caused a devastating accident, leading to fatal head injuries despite a rapid airlift.
In Lott, Texas, the loss is deeply felt. Friends remember his smile, discipline, and passion for rodeo, while family and neighbors gather in grief, struggling to accept how a promising life ended so suddenly.
