The sketch aimed to turn a political scandal into comedy, as SNL often does. But this time, it crossed into more sensitive territory, targeting not just a public figure but her already-embarrassed husband. The jokes touched on issues of privacy and sexuality, making the humor feel uncomfortable for many.
Some viewers saw it as satire, others as unnecessary cruelty. Critics argued it exposed a double standard, while others said public figures remain fair game. In the end, the sketch blurred the line between comedy and humiliation.
