In a city still marked by recent turmoil, placing Jacob Frey at the center of a new initiative feels both risky and consequential. Behind the scenes, meetings with officials and stakeholders suggest this is more than symbolic—it points to a deeper shift in direction. Some see an opportunity for real change, while others worry about repeated promises and unresolved tensions.
As plans take shape, Minneapolis stands between doubt and cautious hope. Residents and community groups are calling for transparency and measurable results, not just words. Whatever follows, Frey’s decisions will face close scrutiny, reflecting how ready the city is to move forward.
