Donald Trump said the families of several U.S. service members killed during the recent conflict with Iran urged him to “finish the job” when he met them at Dover Air Force Base during the transfer ceremony for the fallen soldiers. The troops were killed after a drone attack struck a command center in Port Shuaiba amid escalating clashes following U.S. and Israeli airstrikes that reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran later responded with missile and drone attacks across the region, targeting U.S. assets and allies. Trump described the losses as tragic but said the families encouraged him to continue the mission while the administration seeks to bring the conflict to an end.
