When checking into a hotel or motel, safety is key. Flight attendant Esther from KLM suggests tossing a water bottle under the bed to check for hidden dangers. If the bottle rolls freely, the area is clear. If it doesn’t, check with staff for assistance. This simple trick ensures both safety and cleanliness, as under-bed areas can be missed by cleaning staff, leading to dirt buildup or pests. If something feels off, leave immediately and contact security. Stay safe during your stay!
