A Virginia family is mourning the loss of 10-year-old Autumn Bushman, whom her parents describe as a bright, energetic child whose life ended in March after what they say was months of bullying. According to her family, the fourth grader became a target at school after standing up for classmates who were being picked on, and the harassment escalated over the school year. Her parents say the situation went unaddressed, culminating in a tragedy that has left them speaking out about bullying and the urgent need for stronger intervention.
