Losing a child is a grief beyond words, something Sylvester Stallone endured when his son Sage died in 2012 at 36. Before the cause of death was confirmed, rumors spread, adding to the heartbreak surrounding the tragedy. Stallone’s life had long mirrored struggle and resilience: a birth injury left part of his face paralyzed, leading to bullying and a turbulent childhood marked by abuse and instability. By age 12 he had been expelled from multiple schools, drifting into trouble before finding direction through bodybuilding and acting. Years before fame, he faced homelessness in New York, surviving brutal winters with a single coat he later said saved his life, a symbol of the hardship that shaped the determination behind his success.
