BREAKING: A federal magistrate judge in Minnesota has rejected the Justice Department’s effort to charge Don Lemon over his presence at a protest that disrupted a church service, turning the clash into a flashpoint in broader debates about protest, power, and the press. Prosecutors had sought to bring charges after Lemon livestreamed and documented the anti-ICE demonstration inside a St. Paul church, but the judge declined to approve the complaint, underscoring protections for journalistic activity. Meanwhile, federal authorities have arrested several protesters connected to the incident, and the case continues to fuel discussion about how far the government can go in prosecuting protests and those who record them.
